M-Net Cares & SPAR Cape Quarter Make a Difference by Installing a Brand New ICT Centre at Prestwich Street Primary School
Mayor Patricia de Lille did the honors of unveiling the new computer room to the students on 6 November 2013. SPAR Cape Quarter, our partners and friends joined to witness this historic occasion.
It’s estimated that only 26.5% of schools in South Africa use computers for teaching and learning, leaving a significant amount without this opportunity. Computers allow for a more efficient learning environment and opens students up to the technological world we live in today. We worked alongside M-Net Cares and the City of Cape Town to install an Information & Communication Technology Centre at Prestwich Street Primary School, allowing these students the opportunity to make use of computers at school.
